March 21st, 2008 my heart stopped forever. My daughter was born just before 8 am screaming before she was even placed on my chest. Kennedy Alaina is so much different than her brother. He lives to follow the rules and she lives to break them. He lives for order and predictability and she loves to create chaos. She's excitement, spice and everything I didn't think I'd want in life. I love my little girl more than I ever thought I'd ever have the capacity to. My heart feels more for those kids than I could ever imagine possible.
Every day I am thankful for their presence but birthdays in this family are the be all end all to the over the top showdown of love. Birthdays are the biggest deal around here, your day to get spoiled from sun up to sun down.....actually, you're spoiled pretty much the whole MONTH of your birthday. This year was no exception. The royal treatment has been rolling in for Kennedy for weeks leading up to her big day. She took cupcakes to school, verbally made sure we ALL knew exactly what she wanted for her birthday and the party was underway long before it was necessary to begin the process. She wanted a Hello Kitty party this year. Normally I do these big, extravagant parties for the kids but since her dad got her a Power Wheels I couldn't justify spending the money on a party AND getting her more gifts on top of that too. So I just bought her more toys instead and invited my parents over. It was such a fun day for Kennedy, she had all her family and Hello Kitty to keep her busy. Here are some pics of the 4 year old Birthday Girl!
